Online Nutrition Coaching Guidelines for Clients

Materials needed

  • Good internet connection
  • Previously agreed upon (with your nutritionist/dietitian) video conference platform such as Whatsapp video, Zoom, WeChat video
  • Laptop, tablet, mobile phone or iPad
  • Tools to measure progress and aid in preparing your own food such as bio-tape measure (provided), digital bathroom scales, food measuring cups, digital food scales, basic cooking equipment (knife, chopping board, non-stick frying pan)

Suggestions for the mobile device

  • Should either be plugged in or fully charged
  • Should be set such that notifications and calls are turned off to avoid interference with the connection
  • As big a viewing screen as possible - so laptop more ideal than a phone (though the latter will suffice)

Suggestions on preparing for the consultation

  • Upload all required measurements at least 24h prior to consultation
  • Send bio-feedback form via email to your coach at least 24h prior to consultation
  • Have all questions ready prior to consultation

Suggestions during the consultation

  • Prepare all set-up prior to the start of class so that this does not cut into class time
  • Choose somewhere quiet with minimal disturbance
