The 5 Elements
PURE’s training philosophy is at the core of everything we do in fitness. The design, layout, equipment selection of our gyms and the education we provide for our ProTraining team are all aligned to create an environment where you can achieve your goals and train in a way that motivates you best. Learning a little about our training philosophies will help you get the most out of your training experience.
Our Training Philosophy is built on 5 Elements for a complete approach to fitness training. We hope you will incorporate all of these into your training as each is an extremely important aspect of reaching your full fitness potential. They are all essential to achieving your personal best!
The Five Elements include: Mindset, 3D Movement, Metabolic, Strength/Power and Recovery & Regeneration.
The 5 Elements
Mindset
We believe in a Growth Mindset. The first step towards any goal is setting your best attitude and effort to achieve it. Our philosophy starts with a strong foundation in behavioural science, using emotional and cognitive reinforcement to support your effort. |
3D Movement
Your effort to improve 3D Movement will focus on mobility, flexibility and movement skills. You will seek to gain greater control over how your body moves in space, your range of motion, and your grace and athleticism at the highest training levels. |
Metabolic
Your effort to improve Metabolism is driven by the energy systems that power all motion – from highest intensity short burst explosive energy to long duration aerobic activity. Metabolic Conditioning builds out of your desire to improve fuel efficiency and supercharge your engine for any activity you engage in. |
Strength/Power
Your effort to improve Strength/ Power is driven by controlling the forces within and around you. You are both the irresistible force and the immovable object, ready to express strength through your body control, unending endurance or maximal effort. You will seek to lift more, jump higher, and make your body a physical fortress. |
All training is a stimulus for your body to grow in some way. Recovery and Regeneration is how you then create the environment for your body to respond and become better. It includes great nutrition and rest but also has many active recovery methods. One of the best methods of Recovery is intelligent programme design, allowing your body to constantly adapt in new ways. |
