Amos was a scrawny kid since he was young. He decided to try weightlifting to put on some bulk when he was 16 years old. Amos relied heavily on supplements thinking that they would be some sort of shortcut to achieving his goal. However, what he ended up with instead after 1-2 years was hundreds of dollars spent and a few injuries. He was finally advised by a trainer friend that there was no shortcut to building bulk. Only a balanced diet and hard work over a long period of time would yield the results he wanted. Amos took his friend’s advice, relied minimally on supplements, trained hard and went through 6 phases of bulking and cutting, finally pushing his weight up to 80kg from the original 50kg. That was when he realised the importance of having a trainer in the early phases of the training journey to point you in the right direction. If he had started out consulting a trainer, Amos would have saved a lot of time and possibly incurred fewer injuries. His personal journey and experience motivated Amos to become a personal trainer to help others and put them on the right track at the get-go.
